Tagged by Love!

On Monday I was TAGGED by lovewillbringustogether (a.ka. love).

The four requirements for this meme are:

  1. Write the title to your memoir using 6 words
Life was So Simple Before I Died
Actually, I wrote this title long ago.
  2. Post it on your blog
check. Actually, I posted this long ago too.
  3. Link to the person that tagged you
    check.
  4. Tag five more blogs
    hmm… 75% is a C in my book.
    Ok…
    inProgress
    Samwrites2
    themostexcellentway
    Skunnydroppings
    SharpIron

Also, the title above does indeed contain 6 words. It also contains 5 words. Technically speaking. However, if you are confused, remember I doesn’t count. It may also be helpful to remember i do know how to write.

  1. eeerrrr…..this is my 3rd tag this week for this memoir. hmmm…my existing memoir is….

    Indispensable Randomness from a Stranger

but I’m gonna think of a new one and get back to you!

    “I” isn’t a word? Then is “A” a word?????

  2. Seriously, “I” isn’t a word??? HUH???

    Explain. :D

  3. I never said “I” isn’t a word. You daughters of Eve make me laugh.

However, eeerrr and HUH are not words.

  4. Thanks for tagging me BTW :-)

  5. You are quite welcome Selena. :)

  6. Hey, I tried to tag you first
    here…

My title seemed odd. So I’ll try another

Mere Christian Sanity: seeking God’s worldview

  7. I am in on this deal too.

It just takes me a little longer.
I have a tendency to take a lot of meaningless and sometimes not so meaningless words and use them to say things that can be said usually in a shorter sequence while you are reading the actual words written to explain what I am trying to simple say in just a few words.

    Soooooooooo,

It may take me a while to get it down to six words.

  8. Wait a minute if “I” isn’t a word then,

    How can I participate?

Me so confused. Oops, me can’t be confused because I is not a word?

This may take me longer than I ah me, well I ah so myself thinks that
    me thought longer…….ugh!

  9. You can write – but i’m having a BIG problem believing you can count Fella! :-)

    word

    noun
    1. a unit of language that native speakers can identify; “words are the blocks from which sentences are made”; “he hardly said ten words all morning”
A sound or a combination of sounds, or its representation in writing or printing, that symbolizes and communicates a meaning and may consist of a single morpheme or of a combination of morphemes.

    What definition are you using?

and let’s for some weird reason believe that ‘I’ is not an actual word then how do you get five?? i’m so confused! :-?

AAAAAAAHHHH! Took me a while! Sneaky little Ric!

Who ignored the implied ‘Only’ before ’six words’ then???

You’re such a literalist (and that’s coming from one who KNOWS one!)

And Thanks for playing along :-) Love you man.

and the correct phrasing is…’I can’t count’, not i doesn’t count. You DO count – to me at least :-)

  10. Hey Sam, Funny. I posted the whole complex tagging process on your blog… but then you know this already. I like to see my thoughts on the screen.

Hi Rigg, Welcome! And that 6 words thing… not an actual limit per se. The writer of this meme obviously never wrote software specifications. ;) (Please see love’s comment for the complete analysis).

love, FINALLY, someone who can parse. So now that I know that you get me, I will probably call on you to write my commentaries now and again.

  11. [...] ric booth’s blog here, [...]

  12. :D

Always willing to help out a poet!

    The door’s over there! =====>

    (Underneath the sign saying “Exit”)

You know where i live – obviously!

    ;-)

  13. I’m so confused. :???:

  14. My job is finished here.

  15. Isn’t this like a chain letter? Shouldn’t I just be mad at you?

  16. Actually, it is not like a chain letter and mad is quite the right response. I think ‘annoyed’ is what you are feeling. Check again.

Now you actually participate. Tag Tam, she loves this stuff ;)

  17. So I’m with Bran on this one! If I is not a word than does that mean every sentence with “I” in it does not count? Am “I” really there at all????? I parse too but usually say “Excuse me”….confusion reigns…

  18. “Excuse me”….confusion reigns…

    You think?

Now Deb, you, of all people know enough to not rely on commentaries when the original text is available for your own personal study. Nowhere in the original manuscript of my post do I, the author, SAY “‘I’ is not a word.”

Love offers a fair exegesis in his comment.

I’m feeling Jason could help me out here…

  19. I’m feeling Jason NEEDS to help us out here…

You’re right, I stand corrected…. Ok, I’ve read the original blog…cleared it right up… *mumble* *mumble*

Fair exegesis…*opens dictionary* ahhhh Got it!

 I’m messing with ya! Have a super day! :)

  20. Deb, “Jason NEEDS to help us out here…” hahaha!! I’m actually messin’ with everyone. (Do I need to say that?) thanks and blog ta you later…
