Be who you are and say what you feel,
because those who mind don’t matter and
those who matter don’t mind.
Dr. Seuss
Which sounds good and at first I thought cool, I’m gonna post this. But then I started thinking. Or praying?
Many who matter deeply to me do not mind at all. I love them.
Some who matter deeply to me do mind. I love them too.
And for those who wonder if they don’t matter, well, you do. Matter.
Even the hairs on your head matter.
Not one sparrow falls…

and the Godly wisdom continues to pour…getting past self and into Him is tough in a time such as this, but by George I think you’ve got it!
Ric,
This confirmed something I read earlier today if I’m ‘hearing’ it as you intended.
When you tagged it ‘love’ and ‘truth’ in your categories, I thought it probably does apply in the way I ‘heard’ it.
Yes, the ‘undonditional acceptance’ does sound good at first, but may not really be the most ‘loving’ thing after all ={ !

Matter matter matter….
Don’t mind me – i’m just mattering
We do have to accept everyone as they ‘are’ – because we are as them, human and full of it (matter, sin); we are no ‘better’ than they – if we want them to accept us – and what we believe exists in us – the Love of God : His Holy Spirit.
In accepting them however we are not to accept the sin – the ‘matter’, but the spirit, their soul.
We are to show them through our ‘presence’ not what we are ( i.e. as they are) but what we can become – what is in us and who we are in, through spirit.
We are to show them the Love (and if necessary the Fear) of God. So that they are attracted to it and to Him so that He can do the rest – just as He did in us – if He so has.
We are indeed matter – dense energy; condensed spirit – and we are our mind also. In saying what we are and what we feel as such, we are full of ourselves. And therefore sinful.
We need to cast out and empty ourselves and become full of Him. Repent, (metanoia) and change our mind.
Only then will we indeed matter. To Him and to everyone else.

Jonie, thank you again!
Debs, “by George…” made me chuckle.
D, I wasn’t thinking about that but it is certainly applicable.
bLove, thanks for the uh, clarification. I wonder if it matters that we use two (or more) different definitions for the word matter.
Ric, just a quick note to let you know I am thinking of/praying for you today. You can do all things through Him who strengthens you! Happy Father’s Day, you are a wonderful Daddy.
I wanted to give this to you as well:

Ok, I’m done now…
You’d make a good Misfit, Ric.
Thanks Nor, I feel like a misfit most of the time as it is.
Ric – it’s more a matter of perspective, i guess?
i believe it matters greatly that matter is the antihesis of Spirit.
most, if not all my thoughts are materially based.
It’s the Chemist/Physicist in ‘me’
